NuLIDS is easily and comfortably used on closed eyelids. NuLIDS’ unique dual mechanism of action liquifies accreted meibum without the need for heat. NuLIDS removes debrisfrom the lids and eyelash margins thereby reducing inflammation. Most doctors charge between $50 and $150 for a stand-alone NuLIDS PRO treatment. When NuLIDS is used in conjunction with other treatments to increase effectiveness and prolong therapeutic effect, most doctors add a charge that is slightly less than that which they charge for the stand-alone procedure. There is no specific reimbursement code for NuLIDS and is predominantly an “out of pocket” treatment. NuLIDS is accepted for HSA/FSA.
Most doctors find that this is patient dependent. Many reappoint the patient in 90 days then adjust follow-up treatments according to the patient’s symptoms and recurrence of clinical signs.
